Hanse 320 nominated Europe’s Yacht of the Year

The Hanse 320 was nominated ‘European Yacht of the Year 2007/2008’ in the category of up to 10 metres in ship length. The yacht is therefore one of the five most interesting newcomers in its class.
This nomination is a recognition of the above-average sailing qualities and the new design
concept. The yacht designers von judel / vrolijk & co have achieved high sailing performance
in this yacht with an extraordinarily large sail area, fast lines on the ship under water, and
sporting T-keels.
With its tinted windows and side windows in the hull the ‘big little one’ demonstrates in a
special way a new design line that also characterises the larger yachts from HanseYachts.
The elongated cockpits and the cleared deck make the yacht look much larger on the outside
than it really is.
This impression continues below deck. Plenty of space, clear, modern design, new types of
wood, a lot of light and two side hatches that can be opened, and in addition many innovative
ideas made by HanseYachts – all this has also convinced the journalists and editors.
The award is equivalent to an Oscar in the sailing world. Editors of leading sailing sport
magazines from eleven European countries vote on the best new yachts every year. The
prize winners of the competition will be announced from 19 – 27 January 2008 at the
Düsseldorf Boat Show.
Until then it is question of fingers crossed!
