HYSY936 Jack-up En Route to Gulf of Mexico

HYSY936, a jack-up drilling platform of China Oilfield Services Limited (”COSL”), has recently set sail to Gulf of Mexico to deliver service for a contract with Petróleos Mexicanos (“PEMEX”).

COSL currently has four module rigs and two jack-up drilling platforms servicing drilling contracts for PEMEX.

HYSY936 adopts dry towing i.e. attaching the platform to a specially designed barge which heads to the destination method in this expedition, which will take 50 to 56 days in a 14,000-nautical-mile voyage that covers the Indian Ocean, Cape of Good Hope in South Africa, and the Atlantic Ocean, before reaching Gulf of Mexico via east coast of North America.
