Image of the Day: Goliat Ready for Deployment

The Goliat platform, the largest and most sophisticated cylindrical FPSO facility ever built, was captured during her wait for deployment to Norway.

She is specially designed for the Arctic conditions of the Barents Sea and a number of ground-breaking innovations are incorporated into her design to ensure safe and stable operations.

The platform completed sea trials on February 2nd, 2015, and was towed on board the Dockwise Vanguard, which will transport her on its long journey around the southern tip of Africa.
