Indian Oil Corp. has reportedly issued a tender to purchase two cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for October delivery.

The tender is valid until August 23, Reuters reported on Friday citing trading sources.

IndianOil is co-promoter of India’s largest LNG importer, Petronet, which has two import terminals at Dahej and Kochi. The company has marketing rights for 30% of the LNG procured by Petronet.

IndianOi is also in the process of sourcing more LNG directly to meet the increasing domestic requirements, and is setting up a 5 mtpa LNG import terminal at Ennore near Chennai, according to its website.
