BP Restarts Tangguh Train 2

BP of UK said it has resumed LNG production at its Tangguh facility Train 2 in Papua province after a fire broke out on November 6.

LNG production resumed on Saturday at 5 a.m., and is now ramping up to design capacity,BP Regional President Asia Pacific William Lin said in a statement.

Tangguh is operated by BP Indonesia and the company holds a 37.16% interest in the project.

Other Tangguh contract partners are MI Berau B.V. (16.30%), CNOOC Ltd. (13.90%), Nippon Oil Exploration (Berau), Ltd. (12.23%), KG Berau/KG Wiriagar (10.00%), LNG Japan Corporation (7.35%), and Talisman (3.06%).
