Interlink Marine to Build Five Green Dolphin Design Carriers

Interlink Marine to Build Five Bulk Carriers at China

Interlink Maritime exercised its option to build five more 38,800 dwt bulk carriers at Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding.

These 38,800 dwt ships will be based on the Green Dolphin design, created by the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI).

The Green Dolphin concept design is a five-cargo-hold CSR double-hull bulk carrier that meets current and future expected air and water emissions regulations. The hull design has been a combined effort by SDARI and DNV. The design aims to be fuel-efficient and maintenance–friendly, with high operational flexibility.

The vessels will be delivered in 2015 and 2016.
