Iran owns about 10% of world’s proven oil reserves. It also holds about 17% of proven gas reserves, which could make the country the alternative gas supplier to Europe. The further development of the Iran’s massive reserves is a hot topic in the energy industry.

To tap this potential, a large investment of around 185 billion dollars is required within the next five years, to allow for fleet renovation, already announced by the Iranian government, as well as technological innovation and solutions.
