Iran: Gas Condensate Export Up 59 Percent

The volume of gas condensate export from Pars Special Economic Zone (PSEEZ) increased by 59 percent during the last month of current Iranian calendar year, managing director of the PSEEZ, Seyyed Pirouz Mousavi announced.

He went on to say that, during the aforementioned period 720.6 thousand tons of gas condensate worth $766 million have been exported from the region, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.

He stated that 2.6 million tons of goods including light and heavy polyethylene, gas condensate, propane, butane, benzene and other goods worth $1.5 billion have been exported from the zone during the said period.

The figures show a 60% increase in terms of weight and value in comparison to the same period last year.

Iran exported 1.9 million tons of non-oil goods produced in the PSEEZ worth $ 771.8 million, which shows a 116% increase in terms of weight and 60% rise in value compared with the same period last year.

The statistics also show that Iran imported 97.7 thousand tons of goods worth $762.1 million through the PSEEZ during the last month of current Iranian calendar year.

This figures show a 183% increase in terms of value in comparison to the same period last year.
