Iran: Gas Production Capacity to Reach 1 Bcm, Official Says

Iranian Petroleum Minister says the country’s natural gas production capacity will climb to one billion cubic meters (bcm) per day in three years’ time.

Stressing the extension of gas transmission pipelines and compressor stations in the country, Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said that the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) has started various assessment studies to strengthen gas distribution networks in the country to provide complete services to final consumers.

Expansion of gas storage facilities is a high priority for the NIGC, he added.
