Iran Pumps 4.5 Mln Cbm of Gas from Sarajeh Storage Facility

Iran has started pumping 4.5 million cubic meters of gas per day from the Sarajeh gas storage facility to the national gas network, said the managing director of the Natural Gas Storage Company (NGSC) Masoud Samivand.

Samivand said withdrawal of gas from the facility started on the 22nd of November, and the volume could be raised up to 10 MMcm/d during the cold days of winter, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.

He stated that Iran has stored 1.3 billion cubic meters of gas in Sarajeh gas storage facility. “Some 300 million cubic meters of gas had been pumped into the national gas network during the last winter.”
