Iran Ready to Supply Gas to Pakistan by Dec 2014

Iran is ready to start delivering natural gas to Pakistan in December 2014 as agreed upon between the two countries, managing director of Iran’s Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC) Ali-Reza Gharibi said.

He said that Iran has invested heavily in the construction of the gas exports pipeline to Pakistan, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.

In the event of a serious action from Pakistan in building the pipeline, Iran is ready to accelerate the construction of the Iranian side of the pipeline,” Gharibi stated.

He went on to say that Iran has fully met its obligations for the implementation of gas exports project to Pakistan

907 kilometers of 56-inch-diameter pipeline has been laid from Assaluyeh in southern Iran to Iranshahr in southeast,” Gharibi said, adding nearly 320 kilometers of pipeline is needed from Iranshahr to Pakistan.
