Serajeh Gas Storage Facility Goes Online

Iran’s Serajeh gas storage facility came on stream on Monday, managing director of Natural Gas Storage Company, Massoud Samivand said.

According to the report of the public relations of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), he said that, 4 million cubic meters of gas could be drawn from Serajeh underground gas storage facility on a daily basis and there is the possibility to draw 10 million cubic meters of gas per day from the facility.

“Up to now 700 million cubic meters of gas have been stored in Serajeh gas storage facility,” he said, adding that Serajeh facility has the capacity to store 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas by June 2013.

He stated that the facility is capable to store 3.3 billion cubic meters of gas.

It’s worth mentioning that, 80 percent of the equipment needed are being produced by local manufacturers.
