Iran to Build One of Largest Oil Recovery Vessel

 

Iran plans to invest $35 million for construction of its first vessel designed to deal with oil spills, Tehran Times reported.

This vessel will be one of the largest of its kind and it will be constructed by Iran Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex Company (ISOICO) in cooperation with Norwegian experts.

Vessel will operate in the Persian Gulf to collect oil spills.

The oil recovery vessel (ORV) is especially developed to recover oil spills from an oil disaster at sea and other offshore cleanup duties.
