Iran Welcomes Growing Energy Ties with Japan

Iranian minister of petroleum, Bijan Namdar Zanganeh voiced the Islamic Republic’s willingness to develop bilateral cooperation with Japan, especially in oil and gas sector.

Replying to the minister of economy, trade and industry of Japan, Toshimitsu Motegi’s letter, Zanganeh has expressed his country’s interest in developing bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields particularly in oil and gas sectors and energy security.

Toshimitsu Motegi earlier expressed his country’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Iran in oil and gas sector, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.
