Osaka Gas Sales Down in First Half of FY 2013

Total gas sales volume by Japan’s Osaka Gas for the first half of the fiscal year ending March 2013 totaled 3,953 million cubic meters, down 1.8% from the previous year.

In the residential sector, the gas sales volume decreased by 2.5% from the previous year, while in the industrial sector, the gas sales volume decreased by 0.3% from the year before.

In September, monthly gas sales volume totaled 620 million cubic meters, down 3.8% from the previous year.

Osaka Gas is a leading energy supplier with its core natural gas supply business serving 7 million customers in the Kansai Region.
