Japan: Tepco May LNG Imports at 1.97 Million Tonnes

Japan’s Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) said its liquefied natural gas imports in May were at 1.97 million tonnes, compared to 2 million tonnes in May last year.

TEPCO used 1.83 million tons of LNG in May, compared to 1.78 million tonnes the company consumed in May of 2012.

The company plans to use 23.82 million tonnes of LNG in fiscal 2012-13.
