Japan: Tokyo Gas April-August Sales Up 3.1 Percent

Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas of Japan for the month of August was 1,071.570 million m3,increased by 39.832 million m3 (3.9 %) from that in August 2011..

In the residential sector, volume totaled 135.912 million m3, up 6.3% from August 2011,, while in the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), the volume was 261.890 million m3, up 0.9% from that in August 2011.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 508.748 million m3, up 5.9% from last year.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 165.020 million m3, up 0.6% from last year.

The total gas sales volume for the cumulative period of April to August 2012 was 5,407.260 million m3, up by 3.1%.
