Japan: Tokyo Gas April-October Sales Up 3.7 Percent

Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas of Japan for the month of October came to about 1,028.736 million m3, increased by 89.479 million m3 (9.5 %) from October 2011.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 153.475 million m3, down 13.3% from September 2011, while in the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), the volume dropped by 2.1% to 195.914 million m3.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled about 506.247 million m3, up 26.5% from last year.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled about 173.100 million m3, up 6.9% from September 2011.

Gas sales volume in the first half of fiscal 2012 (April – October 2012) totaled about 7,460.134 million m3, up by 3.7%. from the same period in 2011.
