Japan: Tokyo Gas December Sales Up 13.8 Pct

Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas of Japan for the month of December came to about 1,359.032 million m3, increased by 164.912 million m3 (13.8 %) from that in December 2011.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 375.698 million m3, up 12.7% from December 2011, while in the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), the volume was 225.619 million m3, up 11.2% from that in December 2011.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled about 552.628 million m3, up 21.4% from last year.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled about 205.087 million m3, up 1.2% from last year.

Gas sales volume for the cumulative period of April to December 2012 was 9,967.771 million m3, up by 6.4%.
