Japan: Tokyo Gas June Sales Down 0.3 Percent

Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas of Japan for the month of June 2012 was 981.364 million m3, almost equal (down 0.3%) to that in June 2011.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 208.321 million m3, down 2.8% from June 2011, while in the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), the volume was 176.247 million m3, almost equal (down 0.1%) to that in June 2011.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 430.365 million m3, up 1.8% from last year.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 166.431 million m3, down 2.4% from June 2011 due to the decreased demand of wholesale gas suppliers.
