Jiangsu Hantong Names Three Merchant Vessels

China’s Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry has held naming ceremonies for three merchant vessels in the last four days.

The shipbuilder held a naming ceremony for two 38,800 dwt bulk carriers owned by Nord on Saturday, January 7. The shipbuilder, however, failed to mention the names of the bulkers.

On Monday, January 9, Jiangsu Hantong organised a naming and delivery ceremony for the 38,000 dwt chemical stainless steel tanker built for Sinochem Shipping.

The tanker, named SC Gemini, is the third in a series of four vessels to be delivered Sinochem Shipping.

The company has reportedly exercised options for three more chemical tankers at Jiangsu Hantong.
