JMJ Expands Australian Business

JMJ announces it is opening a new Business Unit in order to support the growth of its Australia business. The new Business Unit will be centered in Brisbane, and will headquarter JMJ’s efforts throughout Eastern Australia.

Much of JMJ’s current work in the country has been serving Chevron mega projects Gorgon and Wheatstone on the West Coast. Due to the substantial demand for JMJ’s Incident and Injury-Free® safety and High Performance™ work in the East, the move to create a new Business Unit comes to offer the best support possible for all of JMJ’s clientele throughout the country. JMJ’s first engagement in the country dates back to 1994, and major Australian clients include Chevron, Lend Lease, BHP, Inpex, Rio Tinto and Origin Energy.

“We work closely with our clients to support them in accomplishing extraordinary business results,” said JMJ Chief Operating Officer Mark Britton. “Opening a new business unit in Brisbane gives us the opportunity to support our major clients in that region. We are excited to make this investment which further enables us to create an impact in the world and make a difference to people’s lives. We look forward to growing our business and expanding our highly capable team in East Australia.”

Brisbane resident and former JMJ Asia Business Unit Leader John Ptasznik will be leading the new East Australia Business unit, along with members of the JMJ community currently located on the East Coast. The new BU will extend JMJ’s commitment to safety, high performance and the quality of people’s lives throughout Australia.
