Kim Dotcom Plans to Connect New Zealand with US Via Undersea Cable

Kim Dotcom is promoting transoceanic fibre cable for New Zealand that will provide New Zealanders with faster broadband, Inquirer.net reports.

Kim announced plans to restart the company Pacific Fibre, which couldn’t find the funding for its project to connect the US with New Zealand via undersea cable, the Gizmodo.co.uk news site reported.

The money to fund the cable is expected to come from law suits that Dotcom plans to launch against the US government and the media companies because of the unlawful and political destruction of his Megaupload site.

According to Inquirer.net, Dotcom received over 1000 positive messages that support the idea of the project through his Twitter.
