Klaipeda LNG regas volumes rising

Lithuanian LNG terminal operator, Klaipedos Nafta reported a significant rise in regas volumes at the facility during the month of February.

The LNG terminal regasified 328,000 MWh of natural gas and supplied it to the natural gas transmission system during the month, 212.4 percent above the 105,000 MWh regasified in the corresponding month in 2017.

However, due to the lower capacities ordered by users in the first two months of the year, compared to the January and February in 2017, the terminal regasified and reloaded 591,000 MWh of natural gas, 33.6 percent below 890,000 MWh in 2017.

Sales revenues for February edged down 1.9 percent to €5.3 million ($6.58 million) from €5.4 million last year, however, following the LNG funds administrator recalculations and adjustments to the regasification tariff fixed part for January 2018 totaled €6.7 million, €1.4 million above the figures initially released.

This resulted in a 7 percent increase in sales revenue for the first two months of the year. Sales revenues reached €19.8 million compared to €18.5 million in the corresponding period last year.
