Klaipedos Nafta of Lithuania Issues Tender for LNG Terminal Upgrade Works

Klaipėdos Nafta of Lithuania, which is implementing an LNG terminal project in the Baltic country, announced a tender for ugrade works on the LNG terminal.

The winner of the tender will have 25 months to complete the upgrade works, according to the tender conditions.

The contract includes construction of a liquified natural gas (LNG) terminal quay in the main commercial port and revision of existing terminal superstructure will be required in order to accommodate 2 vessels at any one time, (equipment, preparation, building products, supply of and construction works).

Essential key requirements are that the storage capacity and facilities cover ~ 128,500 tons displacement (~ 92,000 DWT); Length: 300 m, width – 49 m; Draught: – 11.6 m (summer 12.6 m).

Höegh LNG in March entered into a ten year time charter with Klaipėdos Nafta for a floating LNG storage and regasification unit to be used as an LNG import terminal in Lithuania.
