Kogas Feb domestic sales rise 3 pct

South Korea’s Kogas, the world’s second-largest corporate buyer of LNG, reported a 3 percent increase in its February gas sales when compared to the same month a year ago.

Kogas said in a statement on Friday it sold 3.59 million mt of LNG equivalent in February, as compared to 3.49 million mt in the same month in 2016.

Sales in the power generation sector rose 0.9 percent to 1.30 million mt while city gas sales reached 2.27 million mt, up 3.8 percent when compared to January 2016.

In January, Kogas reported a 2.8 percent drop in sales to 4.05 million mt of LNG.
