KONE Delivers Elevator for North Rankin Redevelopment Project

KONE recently delivered one custom-made elevator for the North Rankin Redevelopment Project.

Based on the KONE MonoSpace® machine-room-less elevator, the solution KONE developed and delivered is designed to provide safe and efficient transportation of people and goods onboard the North Rankin B (NRB) platform.

The elevator has a maximum load of 1500 kg or 20 persons and travels seven levels.

The North Rankin Redevelopment Project will extend supply from the North Rankin and Perseus fields.

The Project involves the construction and installation of a new gas processing facility which will enable the recovery of low pressure reserves.

The NRB platform, constructed by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. in Korea, will be connected by two 100-meter bridges to the existing North Rankin A platform.

On completion both platforms will be operated as a single integrated facility known as the North Rankin Complex.
