Klaipedos Nafta Reopens LNG-Link Tender

Klaipedos Nafta of Lithuania said it has reopened bidding for a contract to link an LNG terminal to Lithuania ’s grid after complaints about a previous change of the tender terms.

AB Klaipedos Nafta, executing the obligations, indicated in the letter of 8 February 2013 of the Public Procurement Office regarding evaluation of procurement “Procurement of engineering, procurement and construction works for natural gas pipeline system (EPC)” performed under the negotiated procedure, has renewed the Procurement procedure and has sent the invitations to the participants of the Procurement on presentation of final offers,” the company said in a statement.

The offers shall be evaluated according to the criterion of the most economically advantageous tender offer,” Klaipedos Nafta added.

Höegh LNG has last year entered into a ten year time charter with Klaipėdos Nafta for a floating LNG storage and regasification unit to be used as an LNG import terminal in Lithuania.
