LNG America recruits former US Coast Guard officer

Houston-based LNG America said it has appointed George “Joe” Paitl as VP Marine Operations and HSSE Compliance.

Paitl is a career military officer and most recently held the position of Commanding Officer / Captain of the Port, Marine Safety Unit – Port Arthur.

LNG America’s objective is to become a leader in distributing LNG to the high-horsepower fuel markets, according to the company’s website.

It has an agreement in principle with Cheniere Energy to secure LNG from the Sabine Pass facility currently under construction in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
