Malaysia Airlines’ Missing Flight MH370 Could Be in Gulf of Thailand ?

Malaysia Airlines reports that their flight MH370 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing disappeared on Saturday with 239 people abroad.

They reported that they have not been able to establish any positive findings on the whereabouts of the aircraft after more than 48 hours since it disappeared.

The Company actively cooperates with the search and rescue authorities coordinated by the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCA) in the search for their aircraft.

DCA has confirmed that search and rescue teams from Australia, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines and the United States of America have come forward to assist.

Currently the main focus of Malaysia Airlines is providing the families of the missing persons with timely information, travel facilities, accommodation, meals, medical and emotional support, the Company said.

CNN reported that because of an oil slick spotted in the Gulf of Thailand, the Vietnamese government official news agency announced that the aircraft could be located in this area.
