Malaysia Exports 2.34 Million Tonnes of LNG in Jan

Malaysia exported 2.34 million mt of LNG in January, according to the trade statistics.

LNG exports in January rose 0.3%, compared with last year.

The total value of the liquefied natural gas exports in January was about $1.80 billion.

Malaysia is the top supplier of LNG to Japan, the world’s number one importer of  liquefied natural gas.

The country plans to start importing LNG in 2013.
