MEO Australia Provides Update on Blackwood-2 Drilling

MEO Australia said that, on Friday, the Ensco 104 jack up drilling rig had run and cemented 244mm (95 /8”) casing and was securing the rig ahead of an approaching tropical low.

Progress:

• Drilled 311mm (12¼”) hole to 3,150mMDRT (casing point)
• Ran and cemented 244mm (95/8”) casing

Present Operation:

• Securing well and rig prior to commencing down manning for potential cyclone

Outlook:

• Drill 216mm (8½”) hole to approximately 3,360mMDRT (Total Depth)

The Blackwood-2 appraisal well is located approximately 8km from the Blackwood-1 discovery well.
