MHB CEO moves back to Petronas

Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Berhad (MHB) on Wednesday said the company’s managing director and CEO Haji Abu Fitri Abdul Jalil will renounce its position on April 30, leaving for Petronas. 

Offshore and marine services specialist informed in a statement that due to the current conditions in the oil and gas industry and the company’s transformation policy Abu Fitri has been called to rejoin its MHB’s parent company Petronas.

MHB is 66.5 percent owned by MISC in which Petronas has a 62.67 percent stake.

Search for a new managing director and CEO has been initiated, MHB said.

While the search goes on, Cik Wan Mashitah Wan Abdullah Sani, the company’s chief financial officer has been named as acting CEO with effect from May 1.
