More money needed for LNG terminal in Poland

Poland’s LNG terminal will be completed on time, say contractors, even though the consortium is looking to increase the amount being paid.

Consortium building the terminal is comprised of Italy’s Saipem, Techint and PBG.

Reuters reports that the discussion is conducted in a good manner as everyone wants to complete the project without any delays.

PBG spokesman Jacek Balcer said that due to changes in Polish law, the investment will take more time than expected and that will incur higher costs.

Polskie LNG’s, the company that commissioned the project, spokesman Maciej Mazur said that no one intends to terminate the contract as the goal remains the same so there are no risks of delay. The project is planned to be completed at the turn of 2014 and 2015.
