MTEE gas generator gets DNV GL approval

Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine Europe B.V. (MTEE) announced the final stage of approval by DNV GL for 2 x GS6R2-MRTK 462 kVA Mitsubishi Marine Gas Generator Sets. The sets are 100% LNG powered.

The two new Mitsubishi Marine Gas Generator Sets will be delivered to MS Ostfriesland of AG “EMS”, a ferry operating company in Germany and was sold by long term partner Koedood Dieselservice B.V.

The Mitsubishi Gas Generator Sets main components are a 6 cylinder Mitsubishi Gas Engine GS6R2-MPTK and an LSA49.1 L9 (690 V) generator. Each set has an output of 462 kVA (60Hz).

Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine Furope B.V. offers high performance natural gas marine engines that are 100% LNG powered. They are available in 6, 12 and 16 cylinders and with an output range from 300 kW to 1500 kW. MTEE has been able to accomplish this by applying the Miller Cycle to the engine coupled with high efficiency turbochargers and efficient marine gas engine control technology. Through this MTEE provides an excellent fit for customers looking for innovative and environmentally friendly solutions.
