Spanish LNG terminal operator Reganosa said the Mugardos LNG terminal is set to receive the Q-Flex carrier Al Utoriya next week.

According to the company’s statement, Al Utoriya tanker with the capacity to transport 216,203 cubic meters of LNG will be the largest vessel of its type to unload at the terminal when it docks on Tuesday, April 25.

The vessel built by Hyundai Heavy Industries in 2008 is transporting a cargo from Qatar’s Ras Laffan LNG complex.

With the shipment, the Mugardos LNG terminal will have received 294 cargoes since its start up in 2007.

The Mugardos LNG terminal at the Ferrol port has the capacity to provide 3.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year to the Spanish transmission system.
