MV Cosco NETHERLANDS Enters Service

Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering, a large-scale shipbuilding joint venture between China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company (COSCO) and Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. (KHI), has christened the 13386-TEU container ship MV Cosco NETHERLANDS.

Mr. Han Chengmin, President of NACKS, Mr. Hou Liping, Deputy Managing Director of COSCON and other guests from COSCON and COSCO Mercury attended and witnessed the christening ceremony. Ms. Mu Wen, Executive Vice President of Beijing Benz Automotive, christened the new ship.

MV Cosco NETHERLANDS Enters Service

MV Cosco NETHERLANDS is the fourth of a series of eight 13,386 TEU vessels being built for COSCON by Nantong Shipyard (NACKS). The first vessel, Cosco BELGIUM, was delivered in March, followed by Cosco FRANCE in May and Cosco ENGLAND in September.

The vessel will be deployed on the COSCON CKYH Joint North Europe Express Service 3 (NE3).
