MV ‘Xiang Rui Kou’ Transports Biggest Cargo Ever

MV 'Xiang Rui Kou' Transports FPSO Forebody to its Owner

COSCO (Zhoushan) shipyard completed a FPSO forebody for its overseas owner and the section started its delivery-journey on November 11 onboard a COSCO Shipping-owned semi-submersible vessel, MV ‘Xiang Rui Kou.’

The construction of the forebody was carried out in accordance with the high standards, especially with respect to safety, clocking up one million man hours.

The forebody measures 151.3 metres in length, 54 metres in breadth, and 31.5 metres in height. Weighing over 20,550 tonnes, it is the biggest cargo, by size, that the semi-submersible vessel ‘Xiang Rui Kou’ has ever undertaken. The cooperation between COSCO Shipyard and COSCO Shipping enables the COSCO subsidiaries to provide one-stop service (engineering, construction, transportation, installation) to offshore product clients worldwide.
