National Grid, Energinet.dk Invite Tenders for Viking Link

National Grid Viking Link (NGVL) and Energinet.dk (ENDK) have invited tenders for the supply of several services for the Viking Link interconnector between UK and Denmark.

The scope of work under the contract includes detailed design, engineering, procurement, manufacture, installation, construction, testing, commissioning, spares provision, operational handover and maintenance of an interconnector.

Viking Link will be approximately 760 km long and will allow electricity to be exchanged between UK and Denmark.

The offshore part of the Viking Link will include approximately 630km of submarine high voltage Director Current (DC) cables.
