To remind, Singapore LNG named Tan Soo Koong as the new chief executive back in early January.

SLNG said on Monday that Tan would officially join the company as the CEO on Tuesday, April 2.

He is a 30-year veteran of the energy and petrochemical sector. Tan joins SLNG from Vopak Terminals Singapore, where he oversaw five terminals that together generate a sizeable portion of Vopak’s global revenue.

Before joining Vopak, his earlier roles included managing the operations and business of Titan Petrochemicals’ Olefins and Aromatics Business Unit and leading the manufacturing function at GE Plastics SEA.

Tan will take over from John Ng, who stepped down in December 2018. Since January 1, 2019, Singapore LNG’s commercial division vice president, Sandeep Mahawar stepped in as an interim CEO.
