Nigeria: Government OKs Ibadan Rivers Dredging

The Oyo State government gives its nod for the dredging of six rivers in Ibadan metropolis.

“The government plans to dredge the Odo-Ona river; Odo-Ona bridge; Oke- Ayo river and Onideure/Igbagi river, among others,” said Mr. Wasiu Oladimeji, the state Commissioner for Environment and Habitat.

According to tribune.com, he said that the government would leave no stone unturned in waging war against flooding.
