NIMASA Blocked LNG Tankers from Accessing Bonny Terminal in Nigeria

LNG exports from Nigeria have been delayed after the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) blocked tankers from accessing the Bonny terminal from Friday to Sunday, Reuters informs.

NIMASA said it has stopped the tankers from entering or leaving the Bonny terminal because Nigeria LNG was not paying its freight levies.

Nigeria LNG is a jointly owned enterprise in the following proportions: Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) owns 49%, Shell Gas B.V. owns 25.6%, Total LNG Nigeria Ltd owns 15% and Eni International owns 10.4%.
