Eidesvik Holds Naming Ceremony for Its Fifth LNG Powered Vessel Viking Prince

Eidesvik newbuilding, Viking Prince, was named in an official ceremony in Aalesund, Norway, on March 23th 2012. Viking Prince is the fifth Eidesvik Offshore vessel that is powered by LNG.

It is a powerfull supplyship with large volume and large deck space. The LNG dual fuel engines ensures low NOx and CO2 emissions. The ship is also equipped with a cleaning system for ballast water, which is an upcoming environmental requirement for this type of ship.

Viking Prince will be taken over formally on Friday March 30th 2012.

Lady sponsor of the vessel is Mrs. Anne Grete Engen, valued employee for the last 27 years who retired in march this year.
