Novatek, Total Win Environmental Approval for Yamal LNG Project (Russia)

Novatek of Russia and Total of France received environmental approval for the Yamal LNG project in the Arctic.

The approval was granted  from the State Expert Commission to build the LNG plant at the port of Sabetta on the Yamal Peninsula.

The Yamal LNG project will develop the South Tambey field located in the arctic area of the Yamal peninsula.

The resources of this condensate and gas field will allow production of more than 15 million tons of LNG per year.
