Norway’s oil and gas production fell behind the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate’s predictions in November 2022 and is lower than the figures from October 2022. However, the country’s oil and gas production is still slightly higher than last year.

Based on the NPD’s recent report, preliminary production figures for November 2022 show an average daily production of 1 946 000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate.

Total gas sales were 10.4 billion Sm3 (GSm3), which is a decrease of 0.4 (GSm3) from the previous month.

Average daily liquids production in November was: 1 740 000 barrels of oil, 187 000 barrels of NGL and 19 000 barrels of condensate.

Oil production in November is 8.7 per cent lower than the NPD’s forecast and 5.7 per cent lower than the forecast so far this year. The forecasts for gas and NGL have been updated in line with the government’s prognosis for production in the revised national budget.
