UK: Ocean Scout Leaves Oil for Wind

Ocean Scout Leaves Oil for Wind

Atlantic Offshore’s Aberdeen division  has sold its oldest vessel, the Ocean Scout. Ocean Scout is a platform supply vessel of UT 706 design, built in 1976.

The vessel, of 67.80 m length, has been delivered to its new owners. It will exit the offshore supply market and enter the offshore wind industry as a windmill support vessel.

“The vessel was sold slightly above book value,” says Atlantic Offshore in a press release.

Atlantic Offshore’s main office is located at the Coast Center Base, Sotra, outside Bergen, Norway, with branch office in Aberdeen, Scotland. The group currently operates 24 vessels off Ireland, Mediterranean, Southern Atlantic and in the North Sea.
