The semisubmersible “Deepsea Aberdeen”, currently under construction at Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) in Korea, experienced, on December 28th 2013, water ingress on pontoon while moored at the yard’s quay.

Immediate evacuation was commenced and the rig was stabilized on the sea bed with draft at around 21 meters.

No injuries to personnel have been reported.

Odfjell Drilling is awaiting information from DSME and will submit more information in due time.
