Rene van der Meer

Head of New Energy Development

Rene van der Meer has over 20 years’ experience in the upstream oil and gas sector in various roles, focusing mainly on the Dutch continental shelf. In 2014 Rene succeeded to start a major oil and gas development in the Dutch North Sea and he is currently involved in new energy developments. His recent activities include Neptune Energy’s development project PosHYdon, an offshore operational platform that will produce green hydrogen. Rene is a graduate of the University of Delft where he obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
