OMV Petrom Hires GSP Jupiter Rig (Romania)

Romania’s GSP Offshore has secured a new contract in the Black Sea for GSP Jupiter rig. GSP Jupiter shall provide light side track services offshore Romania for OMV Petrom on the Romanian continental shelf.

The rig has successfully completed the works under the contract with Sterling Resources. The rig was hired to drill Ioana and Eugenia prospects and mobilization for the previous contract started on the 28th of September. Following the drilling of Ioana-1 at 91 meters water depth in Block 15 Midia, the rig was remobilized approximately 70 km to the north for the drilling of the Eugenia-1 well in oil prone Block 13 Pelican, in 55 meters water depth.
