Origin: APLNG Downstream Construction on Track, Australia

The downstream project of the Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) project is on schedule and making good progress, Origin energy said in a project update.

The APLNG project is a joint venture between three industry leaders in the fields of CSG and LNG production – Origin (37.5%), ConocoPhillips (37.5%) and Sinopec (25%).

According to Australia’ s Origin Energy, engineering progress for the downstream part of the LNG project is ahead of plan.

Train 1 Engineering is 99% complete and Train 2 is nearing completion while construction access dredging is also completed.

 Logistics facilities are finalized and MOF and Rock & Ferry causeway are operational.

Site accommodation village continues to expand, with 1,800 rooms currently available.

The early, critical components that posed a significant risk to cost and schedule – civil works on Curtis Island and the MOF are also completed, Origin added.
